//New publications on the EIC Accelerator – a first for Turkey!//

The Turkey in Horizon 2020 Phase II project has produced a leaflet giving a basic outline of Accelerator and a 24 page Guide which sets out the objectives, requirements and processes involved in more detail. We believe the Guide is the first publication to draw together detailed information for SMEs interested in applying. The English versions of the Guide and the leaflet may be obtained from our Helpdesk page. Versions in Turkish will be available soon.

OUR SERVICES

TRAINING ACTIVITIES

One of the most important services our project team offers is a number of training sessions focusing on specific audiences and experiences. Our aim is to provide the core information and knowledge transfer H2020 project development, with special focus on increasing numbers of successful applicants, and the number of projects where Turkey acts as the coordinator.

CONSULTING

Under this activity, our team of Experts will offer one-to-one consultance visits to 100 carefully selected SMEs. Our team has two main targets: to increase the number of SMEs applying for H2020 and the success rate of these SME applications. A written roadmap will be prepared for each evaluated SME, identifying innovative potential, specific opportunity areas for H2020 participation.

NETWORKING

The project will provide the necessary financial support for researchers to complement the training and consultancy actions that will improve awareness, information, knowledge and specific skills for successful H2020 project applications. Activities include the organisation of International Brokerage Events in both Turkey and Brussels, B2B matching tools.

HELPDESK

In order to support organisations in all the above activities and enhance their capabilities in H2020, the project has created this website that will be used as a communication tool for all researchers seeking help from our team. Information Multipliers can also benefit from some collaboration and reference features that will only be available to them.

‘Reflective Workshop on SME Accelerator Proposals’

We have organized the sixth in a series of free webinars for SMEs who want to find out more about the support and funding available under the European Commission’s ‘Accelerator’ (SME Instrument) programme. The event had around 60 participants on Zoom software and another 40 on the project's YouTube channel.

As part of this programme, the 2nd General and Introductory Training (online) on Horizon Europe event with more than 500 participants was organised on 29th January 2021. The event was held under The “Turkey in Horizon 2020 Phase - II Project” which is co-financed by the EU and the Republic of Turkey and managed by The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK), within the framework of the Competitive Sectors Programme of the Ministry of Industry and Technology.

A General and Introductory Training (online) on Horizon Europe event with up to 300 participants was organised on 20th November 2020. The event was held under The “Turkey in Horizon 2020 Phase - II Project” which is co-financed by the EU and the Republic of Turkey and managed by The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK), within the framework of the Competitive Sectors Programme of the Ministry of Industry and Technology.

As part of the ‘Turkey in Horizon 2020’ project, we have pleased to organise a Focus Group Training on 3-4 November 2020 for the organizations (academic and research institutes, private companies, public sector organizations, NGOs etc) who want prepare proposals. The event attracted over 50 participants against our expectation of 30.

Horizon Europe Cluster 6 Info Day Event (Food, Bioeconomy, Natural Resources, Agriculture and Environment) As part of this programme, we are pleased to announce the info day (on-line event/ webinar) on the Horizon Europe Cluster 6 Work Program. The event is aimed at the entire spectrum of innovation stakeholders involved in topics such as Food, Bioeconomy, Natural Resources, Agriculture, and Environment which may be considering applying for support under the Horizon Europe Cluster 6 Work Program. The event will focus on interpreting the policy context of the Cluster 6 Work Program (with emphasis on the multi-actor approach), present the details of the 7 destinations of the call and help participants in identifying opportunities and participating in proposals.

As part of this programme, a webinar on ‘European Commission Terminology used for Accelerator Bids’ will be held for SMEs which would like to learn more about the financial support offered under the EIC Accelerator programme. The Webinar will be conducted by the project’s team of international experts who will go through the often-confusing terminology with descriptions and interpretations in English and Turkish.

Online event: ‘Reflective Workshop on SME Accelerator Proposals’ We are pleased to announce the sixth in a series of nine free webinars for small businesses who want to find out more information on the European Commission’s ‘Accelerator’ (SME Instrument) programme. The online event using ‘Zoom’ conferencing software will be held on Tuesday, 2nd February, commencing at 10:00 for approximately 2 hours. The event will consist of a review by European experts of proposals under Horizon 2020 and in their wider work. They will cover positive aspects and perceived weaknesses in Turkish proposals they have reviewed and SMEs they have held discussions with. The event is seen as a lead-in to proposals writing for bids under the new Horizon Europe Accelerator programme which was launched last month.

As part of this project, we are pleased to announce the general training (on-line event/ webinar) on the upcoming Horizon Europe program (9th Framework Programme). We would like to invite you to attend this online event, on 29th January 2021, commencing with registration at 13.50 and ending at 17:45. Training consists of a few sessions that will teach participants how to navigate across the EU funding ecosystem, how to identify opportunities, search for organisations with common goals, introduce their organisation to experienced leading players and participate into winning consortia.  The event will include understanding EU Funding & Horizon Europe, Horizon Europe Structure and "From idea to the Grant: How to benefit from EU funding?" sessions.
